Home Introduction
The deregulating of telecommunication, the pervading of Internet, the advancing in computer and solid-state technology has prompted the worldwide communication industries to bloom. From bluetooth to cell phone, from Internet to WiMax, and etc., communication has played an essential role in human life. In light of the increasing importance and the need of communication, the graduate institute of communication engineering (GICE) was established in 2006.
The goals of GICE are to seek the breakthrough in communication theory, to develop advanced and futuristic communication technologies, to provide the high-quality research personnel in communication technologies, and to support the local communication-related industries. Also with its proximity to the central Taiwan science park, GICE has pledged to output its best resources to help the communication industries in the central Taiwan find their best positions in the global supply chain.
Currently, there are 14 faculty members, whose research interest spans from theoretical development to application-oriented design, and twenty enrolled graduate students in GICE. At present stage, GICE only offers MS program and the PhD program will be available after 2009.
